Rabiya Syed – Marketing Director, Fayette Mall

Rabiya is the Marketing Director of Fayette Mall, owned by CBL Properties. She is a University of Kentucky Wildcats fan after graduating with her undergraduate degree in Integrated Strategic Communication in 2017 and receiving her MBA from the Gatton College of Business & Economics in 2023 while working as Community Engagement Manager at UK HealthCare, and serving on the Graduate Women of Gatton Board.

She has always had a joy for being in malls and grew up visiting Fayette Mall every chance she could. Mall, pronounced “maw”, was even one of her first words! She is beyond grateful for the opportunity to work in an industry in which she thoroughly enjoys all aspects- from brand strategy, community engagement, event planning, market research, media relations, retailer relations, sales analysis, studying fashion trends, to social media, and more. She was honored to be nominated for Marketing Director of the Year at CBL Properties, during her first full year in the position!

Rabiya is also an active community member with the Junior League of Lexington (voted the rising star of her class), she is a graduate of the Lexington Police Department Citizen Police Academy, a competitor in the Miss Kentucky USA pageants, and an advocate for the Lexington Humane Society (she is obsessed with dogs), Women Leading Kentucky, The Nest, and the One Parent Scholar House.
